Happy Friday! Day 2 of December and the content challenge.
As I was poundering on what to write about today, I opened a message from one of my fave extended family member. Now, normally as a Nigerian some of the messages I get are those of chain or mass messages in the form of videos or pictures at times; you know the ones that guilt you into forwarding said message to other people, (God, why are Nigerians so gullible and such culprit of this 😩). So I’m thinking ugh here we go again. However, after reading her message, I noticed she had sent me a video just before today that I never downloaded … so I did, and I watched this gem that added a smile to my day 🌞
I hope it does for you what it did to me. I’m so full of pride, but also encouraged by this young man and his dad that thought I leave his child with such priceless gem. And here is to the many out there raising children in the diaspora… you can do it! it can be done! Don’t let your legacy die with you and leave your kids missing a huge part of who they are and where their history lies.
Have a great day!
