You Will Not Fail. You Will Not Fall.

Happy New Month!

This is an impromptu post inspired by couple of things beginning from me pondering about life, my life, the moments I have felt like giving up and drifted into seclusion; I say seclusion because I don’t believe it to be depression, I just don’t. Thinking back to those moments, I realize the importance of positive and encouraging words/gestures. In the spirit of that, I am here today to plant a seed of hope and encourage you.

One thing we have to realize is that we’re all humans, we face things, we struggle, it just has to happen, it’s part of the format. We’re not made to be perfect beings, much as we appear to be.  And I have found that positive, encouraging utterances goes a very long way, do not underestimate the power of your words and most importantly your actions. We must strive to inspire and encourage each other everyday, I speak from personal experiences and trust me it makes a difference.

We are those we associate with, we are what we see, what we hear, what we think and I must tell you I live on anything that bares positivity, it has gotten me through a lot of hard times… shyt, like that time I switched careers when all my friends were at the top of their game and hustle. I felt like a failure and was ashamed, I secluded myself to figure things out. I’ll be the first to tell you that it was a sucky period right from the process of decision, my pride got the best of me mehn, to the process gangan (itself), gruesome I tell you but the encouragements from my loved ones in addition to God’s word kept me going and still is.

So here I am today to tell you reading this, especially if you’re a female or dealing with a chronic illness, that it is not the end of the world! Are you soaking that in? Keep hope alive!
If you need to cry it out, shout it, scream it, talk about it.. do it! But don’t for one second think about throwing in the towel, I haven’t ever and I don’t plan on it. Surround yourself with people of like mind, cut the negative/condescending folks yes that include family members for some of you, it’s hard but you have to. Start accepting those that God has planted in your life who has proved to be positive additions. Life is too short to nurse the negative things and people.

With all of that said, I pray that you be filled with hope and stay on the course, your best years are truly yet to come – that’s Joel Osteen for some of y’all who don’t know :).

Happy Holidays!

✨Till Next Time✨
